WY, OK | When people just see $700 weaned calf prices they use that number to figure the pay off without thinking about any input costs and opportunity costs. I am sure the auctioneers knew better but were talking them up as much as possible. I am surprised the 4-6 yr old's sold higher than the heifers other than that those prices are pretty in line with what I am seeing. I assume the blacks were registered though that would explain some of the increased value. | |
