South Central Minnesota | Lambs are creep fed first week of life all the way to weaning 45-60 days. It's a complete creep feed, bagged Big Gain. Then put on a self feeder of the Big Gain 16% grower mixed with straight shelled corn per bag instructions of 500# supplement to 1500# of shelled corn. Fed in stainless steel hog finisher feeders raised on concrete blocks. Also free choice sheep mineral and free choice feed grade sodium bicarbanate{helps to settle the rumen}. Free choice hay but could cut back amount to have faster gains. | |
