Iowa | I've used a couple Subarus as rental cars and have been pleased with them. The last was an Impreza. One of the things I like about Subarus in general is the visibility is usually better than comparable vehicles. That's important for short people like my wife. We would not consider an Impreza for our next vehicle mainly because of the low ground clearance. The front air dam was low enough to get hung up on curbs, so I do not believe this would be the vehicle of choice for our deeper snow, or a lot of things I seem to encounter. The Forester and possibly the Outback are better in these regards.
