We've got a 10-cup Mr Coffee with a timer and thermal carafe.  Love it.  The only negative would be that it takes it a little while to brew (few minutes), but since it has the timer, we set it to brew just before we get up so it's not an issue.  We ended up with two carafes for it, as the first machine was defective from the factory. (customer service was fantastic....called the 800- number, explained the issue and they had a new perfect machine at my door the next day).  The two carafes work out great for company or those cold winter mornings when all we want to do is have 'just one more cup'.   We like the thermal carafe because if the coffee sits for a while it doesn't get the "oil slick" on top of it like coffee that stays on heat, plus there's no issue of forgetting to turn the pot off and making that nasty mess.
