Gary Edwards Anamosa, Iowa | Yes the warranty is prorated over 15 years and I do have insurance on the building. The cover has ratchet straps every 5 feet that I tightened a notch or two every month for the first few months until they wouldn't adjust any more to make sure it is tight against the frame. The end walls are only warranted for 6 months from time of purchase and I did have the straps that hold them in place break in a 60 mph wind this summer. The straps had a D ring sown in to fasten to the frame. The stitching broke. I called the company and they said they have started recommending the straps be Tieck screwed to the frame after they are pulled tight with the D rings. It had been over 6 months, but they did give me credit for the cost of having the construction crew come back and Tieck screwing the straps. When the north wall is open there is a lot of air movement through the building.I think there should be some kind of vent at the peak of the end walls to let the wind out of the building. |
