NEMO | Happy Thanksgiving to all from Northeast Missouri! Rich, I am truely sorry to hear about your loss. I think we all have that one speacial teacher that influenced us in a way that stays with us throughout life. Mrs. Pflantz was my 4th grade teacher I really disliked her while I was in her class. If you weren't paying attention or dozing off she would rap your knuckles with a ruler or grab that little strip of hair at the back of your neck and nearly lift you up off your seat. THAT, my friend will GET your attention! Despite that, she was the one that inspired me to push myself to do better, study harder and set goals. Her husband and her ran a Christmas tree farm untill many years after her retirement from teaching. She gave it up about 10-12 years ago as she was in her 80s and could not keep up the maintenance any more. We bought our tree from her every year. She passed a few years ago. God bless. | |
