real good money if you lamb in late jan-feb and have butterball fat roaster lambs ready for the ethnic Easters which are right around our Easter +/- a couple weeks.  60 lb. lambs used to bring $2/lb. for that market and ewes had to raise twins to stay around my farm so that was $240 gross on a ewe that was worth half that and cost about $40-$50 to feed for the year, real good money, but it is much more labor intensive than cattle and you got to shear them every year to.  Sheep are hardy animals and whoever says they are looking for a place to day either never raised them or didn't know how too, they are pretty hard to kill actually.
