Put yourself in their shoes. You do custom work and someone two hours' drive away hires you. Do you drive there AND back for free? 4 hours a day? What do they charge after they get to your place? If the mileage charge sounds a little high, remember that they're giving up 4 hours per day of their professional fees by working for you instead of locally.
