Missouri | Missouri is light years behind in marketing weaned and vac cattle. Iowa green tag program and sales have been very effective. This is why little premium is recognized at most barns which sell from the smaller herds. Not enough numbers are available for the buyers to get uniform lots. Buyers have pretty good memory from where the problems come from, Missouri has a reputation and it is not the best. Health papers if announced from the block will not hurt anything. Quality of cattle still 100% importance. A marketing program for preconditioned calves at a barn is best to go along with all the work. I would say all cattle are given another round of shots on receiving to commercial yards, papers or no papers. SOP
