5-6yr olds should last at least another 5-6 years and they should already be proven by that age. $900 isn't a bad price for a preg. cow right now and that is the prime age range for calf productivity. On top of that they will have a salable calf roughly this time next year, heifer calves still won't be paying you back yet this time next year.
