If it was me and my neighbor offered to buy them, I would price it so he wouldn't turn it down unless you need some bedding.
Ground some a couple of years ago, mixed with silage, and the cows were still pretty darn picky about it. If it wasn't for the silage I think the cows would have walked away stomping their feet to the nearest neighbor and ate their hay.
Anybody ever feed big bluestem (bluegrass)?
