Subject: Anybody ever feed big bluestem (bluegrass)?

SW Iowa, Clarinda
I had some CRP come out, so this fall before harvest we big baled it up. It cranked out the bales. I haven't had a chance to feed one to cows yet and was wondering if anybody else has. I don't know much about it, other than it was pretty stemmy and rank, kind of like switchgrass.
My neighbor said he may buy them and grind them up with other hay.
Was wondering if anybody else has used these big round bales for cow feed and their opinion.
Thanks,
BV
