If you go the route of switching the corn to barley be careful. The barley can substitute the corn but it is hot (meaning it will be digested by the cattle much more quickly than the corn) Don't switch it over completely all at once. Depending on how much they are getting it can result in acidosis problems. Take a bit of time increasing the barley while reducing the corn.
