Central PA | I too, grind 75% ear corn,25% oats, because that is what I grow. Then I mix 80lbs. salt, 20 lbs. vitamins, and 30lbs minerals per 130 bushel. I feed it to cows, a few pigs, and I used to feed goats the same. Cows do well , pigs get fat, and I don't know what to feed for less cost. That ration came from a miller a long time ago, and I never saw a reason to change. That ration and hay keeps my cows in good body condition all winter. | |
