| I don't know if you are using futures or an hta but there is .12 carry to March and .20 to July. My opinion would be to place your hedge in March and pick up the .12. Basis should be much stronger in March. When we get to March you will then have the option to roll to July for better carry and basis or deliver. The market will tell you what to do at that time. I like this better than placing in July and trying to roll back if the market inverts.
In my local market as the spread narrows the basis widens. Storage will pay huge again. | |
