Thank you yoohoo for pointing out the HTA cost vs. interest on money for margin calls. In most cases a prodcuer can put an extra nickel or more in his pocket simply by choosing the right tool when it comes time to make a sale. Not to mention the fact you retain your basis negotiating power with futures whereas the delivery location knows they're getting your grain at a certain time with an HTA.
Online brokers, margin calls, etc.
