west central Iowa | We used to use a couple solar fencers, now I bought a solar panel to charge a 12 volt battery, and use a good 12 v fencer. This year my fencers bought in '04, '05 are going bad. I also started using deep cycle batteries (group 27). Between good batteries and good fencers you can power a good stretch of fence.
I have found out that if you shut off a 100 mile plug in fencer and drop the wire, the cows won't cross over it! You have to take them around to a gate! | |
