No. Of course, they are talking about doing it again.
"I would think that some young people are going to get to own some pretty nice homes for a fraction of the value just 2-3 years ago. Of course these same young people need jobs to pay for them."
Yeah, that's kind of a rub. You've got a double whammy. #1 is fewer jobs, and #2 is boomers staying on at the jobs they had because their retirement portfolio might not quite be what it once was.
OTOH, you've got companies like the one my BIL works for in Portland that are going gangbusters. They design/build clean rooms. Manufacturers have figured out the clean facilities in plants overseas suck, so they are now having companies like his build them over here, and ship the facilities over there to install. Parts are still manufactured overseas. Some Hospitals are also rebuilding due to new govt regulations, and that has helped, as well. | |
