What do you guys use in your cattle oilers? $60 for 5 gallons of the mix is pretty expensive. Do any of you use vegetable oil and mix it with Permectrin II?

It says on the label to mix it with an organic non-irritative oil or mineral oil. I was thinking maybe vegetable oil would work? Maybe mineral oil isn't that expensive in bulk? Guy that sells them says diesel will take their hair off.
