SC Iowa | There was some excess capacity available elsewhere to replace some of the starch and corn syrup that couldn't be made at the plants out of service....I'm sure a lot of extra freight and other costs were spent trying to get through the issue..
I know one of the things that hurt us: We were working hard to get some users to buy 100% of their needs from us.....even though they may still buy 75% or higher, they split up their business among two or more sellers today......just in case
such is the case when you do not have a multitude of plants in the entire industry.......taking just one down may consitute 10-15% or more of industry capacity for a particular product.... | |
