Missouri | Help on little history lesson. Think you posted the run up to the Great Grain Robbery a week or so. Question is did it end with the Jimmy Carter's Grain Embargo which set off shock waves in the ag community, which was right as interest rates peaked? Things have changed a little as the surplus reserves were previously held by the Gov. Today that reserve is in the farmers hands or the major grain companies after it is released from the farmers via some marketing program. Many Thanks for you input. Scary how history repeats itself. Given current politics with limiting compensation of executives, something that looked like an export tax on grain might be a catastrophe. Think other countries use an export tax. Any thoughts all the way out to the end would be appreciated. DEJA VU is also that Obama has been referred to Jimmy Carter on steroids. While close to boiler room talk, it is intended strictly around the potential end game of marketing grain.
