| Just posted a Ukraine tidbit re: Russia exports.
A month ago I was tempted to ask my young MD for some Prozac to offset my depressed feelings about how sold out these grains were & seemed to have a lack of interest...now I am afraid to take my senior citizen nap as I might miss something & may have to ask him for some kind of stimulant.
This market appears to have an unusually strong bid. I speculate one or all of the following...1) someone with giant capital believes the FSU crop is much worse than reported 2) risk of force majeure...which I doubt 3) someone is REALLY stuck 4) the public is just blindly racing in, which I doubt.
I am now a little uncomfortable about the attention this deal may attract from decision makers--who seem to be anti-business.
Note the soy crush margins have improved in the spot and deferred both.
