St-Eugene, Ontario
We purchased an energrow oil pressing system and installed it this winter for our 140 milking cow herd in eastern ontario. We really like it. It's really amazing how much money you can save by making your own sbm and not buying it. Actually I did a project at school and I did a partial budget on purchasing this oil press and the payback was awesome, 9 months I believe on a $25 000 investment. If anyone's interested I can probably dig it up. It would be even better if you used it to full capacity, ours only runs half the day. We fill a 1000L tote a month of oil approximately and sell it for $800 which is alright for now but were still looking to see if we can find a better price somewhere else. Some of the oil we use ourselves. We blend it at approx 25% into our older tractors (more than 10 years old). We've been doing that for 4 years without a problem because we used to have a chinese oil press, that thing was total junk.
