2010 Feed Composition Table in Beef Mag.

Soybeans whole: 41% prot, 92% TDN (energy)

48 SB meal: 54% prot, 87% TDN

DM basis

I don't see the big deal about "extra energy from fat." Soybeans and soybean meal are protein feeds, and are priced accordingly.

With current prices, you would need substantial savings on your transportation costs to make it worthwhile.
