Oklahoma | Club lamb page would be a start. Other thing is to try and find some kids that are either Sr in high school or freshman in college. Sometimes they bought a bunch of that stuff and are willing to sell it for some spending money. We purchased some scales and other show equipment from people that way.
Other thing to watch is if you have a local consignment auction. The last year I have really noticed the amount of livestock equipment showing up at junk sales. I think with the economy there are lots of people that got big in animals (here it seems to be mainly goats and horses) and now they are bailing out. Maybe not what your looking for but sometimes you can find a deal. Picked up a cattle triming chute last spring for $20 that needed a few bolts and some paint. Even if I don't use it, for that price I can donate it to some kids project. | |
