IL | Been lurking around BW trying to learn. The Show Wagon at County had an aluminum stand there, so got price on it. Wife will be touring the sheep barn at the IL State fair with our son, trying to learn more, and helping decide on what breed to start with. Also, they will be watching for For Sale posters. They will be there for a week for the junior hog show, so will have plenty of time, around her announcing duties...
So far, after visiting with a couple families at our county fair this weekend, he is leaning toward Southdowns, as they are close clipped....ie easier for Dad and Son to get ready. less clip fitting. They are also more moderate sized to start out with. He would like a ewe lamb and market lamb for next yr. I can already see his wheels turning on wanting to start a herd. And he's 11. I have never seen him want something so much in his life | |
