Central Missouri | If you have to move grain probably yes, but just because you have a contract doesn't mean you can move it if everyone is full. Where are you located in Ill ? The reason I ask is that you can buy a grain bagger and unloader for under 50k plus 7 cents/bu for the bag and you can capture the carry. The corn carry in STL is 32 to Jan with wheat at 60 to jan and Beans are a negative. I suspect the Illinois river economics are the same. It also gives you flexability to manage tax liability. | |
