Just strolled upon this site and it seems to be a good one with lots of members. I am just getting into farming to supplement my income. I have a question about selling.
I will sell a portion of my crop on contract but my ? relates to the other half.
When the other half is harvested and sold to the mill what prices do they go off of? That days board price or futures?
Also what kind of fees are included when selling? For example if I sold 100bu of corn at a contract price of $3.60 what else comes off the top assuming I don't get penalized for wet grain? | |
