Hay Wilson in TX
Posted 7/14/2010 10:17 (#1272768 - in reply to #1270375)
Subject: Or maybe a Dorper Sheep?

Little River, TX
I sell hay to a number of sheep owners and from what I hear the Dorper breed out performs the woollies. HERE they will be out grazing when the wool types are hunting shade.
They are a hair sheep, but they do shed.

Then there is the barbados sheep, that look like a goat from a distance. These are all dark hair not too different from a deer coloring. There is also a white barbados called Texas Dahl.

Supposedly the barbados are easy keepers.
