I wish we were getting 170/ton down here! I would plant more hay. We have been getting around .60 to .70 cents a rfv point. Last cutting went 190 and we got 115 for it. As far as I know rfv is the standard for quality for dairies at least around here. I would definitely try to find a farmer and make a good relationship with him. We sell direct to the dairies and it is by far the best. We have dealt with brokers and we think about as much of them as you. Cut them out and you will get the hay a lot cheaper and the farmer will get the same price!
