I grew them last year for the first. It took a while for the cows to start eating them. I never thought they would root them out like a pig. They litterly plowed that field. I'm going to grow more this winter. Seed was cheap, fertilizer was biggest expence. My wife was giving forage turnips to our friends and neighbors, only diference is bigger leaves
