My middle boy told me once this buddy in town got paid for working. I said yeah, and you get to eat, and get a place to sleep, and clothes. What more do you need? That's a hard one to come up with, the hourly rate you pay a kid living at home. I pay for their cars, fuel, insurance, etc. Horses, saddles, all their school trips, sports, etc. Damn those kids are expensive! It would be cheaper to hire a full time hired man, and provide housing than hire your own kids. My oldest graduates high school next week, boy time has went by fast! |
