Major breakthrough today after 10 months of internet issues with WildBlue. I hate to say it but it's not the satellite from what I've figured out. It's been pretty questionable up to this point. Now there modem could still be part of the culprit.
Deadly combination that caused all my issues was a Linksys wired router and McAfee Virus Software. You can't just turn the virus software off, you have to remove it from the system.
It was the final straw but now since I removed all McAfee and the Linksys software, then reinstalled the Linksys, it's just like you unhooked the plow.
I will have to find some antivirus now to put back on my computer (most likely I'll try Norton).
Wow, it's never worked like this or for this long without resetting everything twice a day.
McAfee and Wild Blue do not get along. | |
