South East , Manitoba , Canada
That HUGE DEMAND has not resulted in huge prices for cattle!!! I started culling cows last week average price $43.28 / hundred weight (Canadian Dollars) about $40.00 / hundred weight US. I will maintain that the cattle herd needs to drop at least an additional 30 % .... I'm doing my part in that reduction... I'm truly tired of giving ...no paying... for someone to take my beef production. If the prices ACTUALLY paid to the cow / calf sector triples then it will be the siginal to increase the herd untill then... cull and cull hard.
