Sounds like a good thing for the economy anyway. Higher grain demand can only help local prices and may encourage more local production. I think North Carolina has the capacity to raise more corn especially with irrigation. 1000 new jobs of any kind helps. If growers don’t like the contracts they may be offering they can just say no.
