New Mexico
basically inceases fat and brings protien to the ration...which would likely replace say the soy meal blocks your perhaps using now to boost protien on your hay and cornstalks.

Say if soy meal is $300 + per ton and dried ddgs are say $100, obviously ddgs makes some sense.

Price of ddgs depends on the plant, depends on the area.
Some plants won't even sell locals dried distillers, thus locals HAVE to buy wet distillers product.

Best way for you might be to just keep feeding hay like normal and boost ration with say 5 lbs of dried or dried pelleted per head per day in a bunk.

Check around...see where you can get product, what type of ddg product and the cost.

Also in Your area perhaps drop the ddg idea and check around to see who is selling products like corn gluten pellets.

In quite a few areas, corn gluten type products are a better deal than ddgs...and easier to feed too.
