Haven't looked into any of the newer HYPER firmware lately. Did  just loaded a beta of dd-wrt on a WRT54Gv4 to use as a repeater at my daughters so she can get Internet from her FIL.  Haven't got it to work right yet.

On the WRT54G's I have HyperWRT 2.1b1+tofu11 v4.30.1, up time on them is around 150 days.

On the WAP54G's I have 2.07 HyperWAPv1.0

Hopefully the the new address will help.  Might make sure your connections are still tight.  Moisture in the cables can cause problems too.  Might try the old router from your parents at your house to see if that helps.
