Thats called an "Express card" slot. Different format than PCMCIA/PC card. I did some checking when I purchased my lappy recently, looks like there is hardly any cards that fit it (at least yet) and the stuff that does is multiples more expensive than PCMCIA. Your probably going to end up needing to get a USB data card reader unfortunately.
