actually if it's a trinitron it will have fast enough refresh rates, but you may not be able to run over 1024x768 so ineffect you'd just get a major upscale of your computer monitor with really no more realestate to play with... hook it up give it a try, max out your resolution... chances are you won't mess anything up.
