southern MN | I'm kind of a minamalist - don't like to waste fuel moving snow the winds will just bring back. So I only open the driveway & turnaround spot here in Minnesota.
This winter is getting to me - can't get through to the round bales any more, and now of course with me powering through the deep snow until now, it is pretty much impossible to blow or blade it out of the way any more. I leave the bales on a small sandy hill behind the grove, good drainage not wasting any useful ground. But, a pain to access any more!
We've had it pretty nice the past 5 years. This year is back to reality. In the meantime, state has installed lights on the rural roads, and has found out it's cheaper to just turn on the lights & threaten $700 fines instead of maintaing the highways... Folks in the county don't need the roads for 1-2 days at a time anyhow, only city folk vote I guess. That's getting old too.
