NW IOWA | I TOLD YOU SO!!!! SFO and Larry what kind of hip did you get. I got a ceramic ball on a titanium shaft inserted in a ceramic cup. They said it should last a lifetime if I don't break it (like in a car crash) My dad had a SS on SS and my brothers and sisters had high density cross link poly cup with a titanium shaft. One interesting note, when I was to the DR last time he asked if it squeaked. (Mine doesn't.) He said that a low percentage squeak, like less than 7%. The guys apparently don't mind that but the women are complaining. I told him that now that he mentioned it mine did squeak in fact sometimes quit loudly. My wife was sitting there and said that's not your hip, that is squeaking its your farts. The DR got a good laugh at that one. Take care and keep walking,You will love your new hip. | |
