North End I-15 | and wishes for 100% recovery .
And as others have said ..... Do the therapy
Mother had 2 done in 1970 , a replacement of one in 1990 , and needed the other done . She passed on in July @ age 97.
20 years was some sort of record for the early ones. 39 years unheard of .
The first were glue in ones , the 3 rd one was a grow in one.
Sister had one replaced a few years back , It's doing well also .
Friend had one on the same side done twice with in a few months . Problem with oil of some type still on the implant . Second one "took" but he walks lop sided ,
Wife's uncle , a cowboy from the old era had one done and was riding horse back a couple weeks later , Dr. Was not to happy about that.
I think much depends on bone structure , body tone , and doing the therapy.
Knee surgery the same .
One fellows hip got staph infection , had to the remove the hip ,let it heal up , then back in to re replace it. Ouch ! I saw him in the in between stage , he also is a cowboy and was a bit anxious to get back on a horse . A year or so later I saw him @ a funeral , he was all well and fine. '
Back in the saddle so to speak.
