Kansas | Actually, I know where plowboy was coming from. Brad said they took a couple 850's and did some serious upgrading.
Now one could speculate that they upgraded by changing tires, adding more details, changing the emblem.......
If that was all they did, the PB's right, where the heck did he find any 1/16th masseys in an 850? I remember Grampa having a 760 and I remember the 850 toys and they were not 1/16th scale. Closer to the 1/25th I believe is what the norm is on the combines.
But I speculated one step further, that they did some enlarging of parts, or cutaway pieces and added sections to enlarge the machine as a whole turning it into a 1/16th. Brad said they were 1/16ths now so I figured he should know what hes talking about and they changed the toys as a whole.
I know this much, I wish he'd post a picture. I'd sure like to see what it looks like in retrospect to a factory shelf model ertl 850.
