Near Richmond, IN | No offense, but KY31 is one of the worst grasses you can seed in a lawn. Wide blades and just plain terrible looking. The turf type fescues (not KY31-I know it says on the bag it's lawn grass seed but it's not) would probably work best but the turf type ryegrasses would be pretty good and both of these would come up much faster than bluegrass. Bluegrass takes 28 days and most of the fescues/ryegrasses are around 7 days or so and since it needs to be kept wet, I usually go for them--and they make really nice lawns too. | |
