It ain't right, but if you leave anything in plain view, you're just daring someone to break in. 

If you have a GPS, ipod, anything like that take it and the power cord with you otherwise eventually it'll be gone.

If you have a glovebox that locks, don't lock it, because they will get it open and you'll have a glovebox and dash to fix too.
