For a work boot I wear a Double H leather boots and treat them with Brick 4 leather conditioner which helps them shed mud and dirt and makes them water repelent. I usually get a couple years out of a pair of boots. For extremes I wear LaCrosse Burly, they are tail, over the calf insulated boots and I usually get three or four years out of them unless they get damaged. (axe, chain saw, etc,)
