I use a WRT54G Linksys in my basement office. Have just had a outside antenna installen of the house pointed to shop., steel walls About 300' away. It works fine. No antenna at shop site. In fact the laptop sometimes connects to outside antenna in house even if inside router is closer.
Best wireless router?
