You have a lot going on there, will need to break it down some.

You have a satillite internet service.

That connects to a Linksys router.

From there, 3 computers are connected. All 3 are wireless connections, or is it mixed, wired & wireless?

My experience, anything hooked up with a wire is secure, only need to make the wireless part of the router 'secured'. First get all the computers talking to it, _then_ secure it. Easier that way.

There are several different 'styles' and levels of securing a wireless network. WEP is the good one for now, but not all older Windows or other operating systems support it. There are others, more easily supported by old computers.

Might help to mention what operating sys version, and what type of wireless antennea you have on each of the computers.

Getting 3 computers with diff operating system versions, with different hardware brands of antennea, can be a challenge. It is all supposed to work. But, it can be a challenge. If your main computer is wired, will get rid of 1/3 of the hassles. :)
