West Tennessee | Yes that's basically what they want the subscription fee for. If you decide to pay the ripoff....er, fee, be sure how many EINs it's going to let you do. I thought that Microsoft's accounting program was going to get me out of this mess with quickbooks but they're system is basically the same way. They want like $169 per EIN number that they will allow calculations on. There are some basic payroll programs out there that will handle your payroll standalone, you've still got to make the entries into the quickbooks for your bookkeeping though. I didn't realize that the 2002 version would still let you keep figuring deductions without a subscription. My quickbooks had issues with my network (multi user) when I upgraded to XP so now I get to upgrade every year. $1,300 each year for 5 users including the payroll subscription. Pretty rough in my book for something that doesn't change all that much. | |
