"Everyone" doesn't know what they are talking about. XP is an excellent DOS platform, in my experience......(edit)except for what Dave mentions above.

I'm running an old DOS accounting package, too..... under XP. Never ran this good under DOS.

Would you believe my old DOS program prints to a USB printer? I'm not kidding.
